"

The police (red shirt black pants) came by and made the crafters selling their wares move. Well he tried to anyhow. This argument went on for a really long time. I kept expecting him to be pepper sprayed or clubbed or drawn down on but the cop mostly nodded and looked like he agreed with puffy shirt guy. When I left, hours later, the crafts remained. France is most certainly not a police state.
